The Medical and Ecological Consequences of the Fukushima Nuclear Catastrophe
Edited by:

The world’s leading scientific and medical experts offer the first comprehensive analysis of the long-term health and environmental consequences of the Fukushima nuclear accident

“The clock cannot be turned back. We live in a contaminated world.”
—Hiroaki Koide, Kyoto University

On the second anniversary of the Fukushima disaster, an international panel of leading medical and biological scientists, nuclear engineers, and policy experts assembled at the prestigious New York Academy of Medicine. A project of the Helen Caldicott Foundation and co-sponsored by Physicians for Social Responsibility, this gathering was a response to widespread concerns that the media and policy makers had been far too eager to move past what are clearly deep and lasting impacts for the Japanese people and for the world. This was the first comprehensive attempt to address the health and environmental damage done by one of the worst nuclear accidents of our times.

The only document of its kind, Crisis Without End represents an unprecedented look into the profound aftereffects of Fukushima. In accessible terms, leading experts from Japan, the United States, Russia, and other nations weigh in on the current state of knowledge of radiation-related health risks in Japan, impacts on the world’s oceans, the question of low-dosage radiation risks, crucial comparisons with Chernobyl, health and environmental impacts on the United States (including on food and newborns), and the unavoidable implications for the U.S. nuclear energy industry.

Crisis Without End is both essential reading and a major corrective to the public record on Fukushima.

Confirmations of Nuke Move Against Japan, South Korea and US

By Gordon Duff, Senior Editor and Michael Shrimpton, UK  VT-Bureau

Japan’s top secret Plutonium production and storage facility facing attack, a radiation catastrophe for North America planned.

Based on multiple confirmations from official sources, plans are afoot to use a Russian nuclear device to destroy the secret Japanese weapons grade facility at Rokkasho Mura in the Aomori Prefecture.

We now have strong reason to believe that the Fukajima earthquake and tidal wave were not a natural event but one engineered to damage Japan and as a “first volley” in a radiation war against the United States.

A second, far more serious attack has been discovered, the agencies involved are the NSA, the British Covert Services, the Royal Navy and the Office of Naval Intelligence.

A “repeat performance” is scheduled, one we hope this detailed report will offset.

The United States, North America in general and Northern Europe will suffer extreme radiation contamination at a level capable of inducing widespread cancers and a drastic reduction in population. Fukajima – Before it got really bad. Act two is in progress.

This is the plan and, at the end of this article, we will specifically describe the confirmed organization that is responsible for Fukajima and the manipulation of hundreds of events that began even before the end of World War II.

The organization described includes one former two former presidents, minimally two former CIA directors, planned the assassination of JFK, has, at its disposal dozens of nuclear weapons and “energy devices” of unknown description.

Several key members of congress are active members, one a former presidential candidate, some willingly, some blackmailed, either by pedophile rings in the US and Europe or through threats and extortion.

Of the “secret organizations” and “terror groups,” those we describe count, to a very large degree as both, the visible part of what we are not ever allowed to see, what no one sees, the rulers, whose visage is as fatal as looking on the face of god.

Well known families are involved, in some cases, those scheduled to rise to power have been “replaced” with trained agents.

What had been “Internet rumor” is no longer such, it is fact. Breivik is a member of this organization as are the police in Norway, Poland and elsewhere.

The P2/Gladio operation, responsible for acts of terror through the 70s, 80s and 90s were this organization, sanctioned by NATO and the CIA but purely working for a cabal of pseudo-ubermenchen, delusional super-humans. Widely known for many years – But widely unknown at the same time. By their own pronouncement its members of ancient bloodlines who stand above the Bilderbergers, Skull and Bones or the more public low ranking secret societies.

Freemasonry, the Jesuits and hundreds of high ranking Satanists who sit at the forefront of American government and power, at the forefront of all of Europe, are served by this organization.

The bizarre patters of rendition, the secret prisons, the need to oversee everything from intersection cameras to cash registers that calculate our eating habits, these things represent far more than incursions on privacy.

Were we to speak unpleasant truth one would note that it wasn’t democracy that won World War II.

America lost, just as General Patton told Eisenhower.  Russia would rule the east and infiltrate the West.  Germany’s services under Carnaris would bring America to her knees, even if it took decades, which it did.

The end of the Cold War and the beginning of the War on Terror, as smooth a transition as imaginable, its own “Pearl Harbour,” planned so carefully, timed so easily, wars that last decades, faith in everything disappearing, a world taught to “take it in the behind and keep its mouth shut,” that was so much more, even than expected.

An important aspect of putting together the coup of 2001 began in 1945 when “the defeat” turned into American disarmament and the establishment of political organizations that would turn America from global superpower to slave state.

“Paperclip” was part of that takeover, Allen Dulles, his brother John Foster Dulles, both Hitler’s lawyers at one time, Richard Nixon joined the cabal bringing Kissinger, General Dornberger and Colonel Werner Von Braun of the SS were tasked with strangling the US missile and space programs. Fort Bliss Texas – 104 captured German rocket engineers It was George H.W. Bush, aided by his elderly father, Senator Prescott Bush, that positioned them for their work.

“This third day of October, 1942, is the first of a new era in transportation, that of space travel… ” —Walter Dornberger, speech at Peenemünde 3 October 1942

“I have had to apologize only to two men in my whole life. The first was Field Marshal von Brauchitsch.

I did not listen to him when he told me again and again how important your research was. The second man is yourself.

I never believed that your work would be successful. ” —Adolf Hitler, Apology to Major-General Dornberger, 8 July 1944

Gen. Dornberger and von Braun after capture – WWII Learn all you can about Dornberger, about him, about Bush, about Dulles, about Lee Oswald, about von Braun.

Bush, war hero of Chi Chi Jima or something very different, shot down over water or landed and was later delivered to a waiting American submarine as arranged through our Japanese enemies and Admiral McCain.

He, the senior Admiral McCain,  is said by a knowledgeable few to have been the architect of naval disasters, nearly responsible for the deaths of 25,000 abandoned Marines on Guadalcanal.

They claim he was working for the Axis, promised much if he assured America lost the war, all rumor and inuendo, of course. Japanese sources say they still have “41′s” PBR, looking like the day it came off the assembly line, buried in a cave on Hokaido next to the skeletons of the Korean workers tasked with burying it.

There could, of course, be no truth to this no matter how reliable the source or how much sense the story makes based on investigations of that day, reports from other crews or the miraculous survival of one so conveniently  saved while the rest of the crew disappeared though their plane could have floated for an hour.

Ah, but I digress… Are these the rumors the Internet brings us or suppressed history, knowledge and proof of which, were such proof to exist, to be a sentence of death.

Years later we saw another McCain, an admiral, engineer the attack on the USS Liberty, arranging the killing of an American crew.  Who and what can order such things, profit from such? John McCain – Fellow Hanio Hilton Pows wanted him courtmarshalled We saw his son on 32 broadcasts while a prisoner of war, standing accused of treason, now serving in the Senate alongside Senator Lieberman, McCain enjoying a heroic history and a presidential pardon at the same time.

We even have one Medal of Honor winner with similar qualifications. Patton is turning over in his grave, these and so many like them, either heroes or respected and esteemed, having spent lives as petty plotters, minor pirates or war criminals, this is, of course, if there is any substance to what so many tell with such reluctance.

This being “Bilderberger Week,” we find ourselves asking who our masters are.

I will simply offer you a glimpse at their enforcers and tell you the history you have been taught, much of it you have read, seen on television, watch daily on The Military History Chanel and such is, not just a blend of truth and a sea of propaganda but more insidious.

To the rulers, the wars, I and II, so many others, are but squabbles, opportunities for profit, signposts along the way toward an end that will leave the planet unrecognizable and depeopled.

Our elite, the CRF, the Bilderbergers and such wouldn’t be allowed to serve tea to our rulers.

I won’t discuss them but were one to take a DNA sample, more would be understood. FUKASHIMA II, DUSTING AMERICA WITH PLUTONIUM Now there is another task, one aimed at the United States, willing to sacrifice more of Japan, a nation dying as we speak, willing to lay waste to even Northern Germany, and environs, the “homeland” Hitler was so willing to see destroyed as undeserving of his trust. As we are told, the dates will be June 21 or 22.

We have a second confirmation for August 17.  Both are earthquakes, same area, tremendous damage, one a nuclear disaster, one predicted as natural but reported by an intelligence agency.

We looked for responses from South Korea, none, and from China, who I believe has been active in moving to control North Korea through a series of assassinations.

I have been told I am totally wrong, totally wrong though mostly correct.  I had trouble understanding that one. Let me be clear.  If there is an earthquake along the area we are predicting in Japan then it will be an act of war against the United States and require a response.

It will most certainly require for us to abandon our Disneyesque disinformation campaign, convincing Americans they live in an imaginary world populated by “liberals and conservatives.” a shoddy cover for something far more sinister, far more global and even beyond economic determinism.

We are dealing with forces that don’t even care about wealth and what we have come to understand as power. Japanese Weapons Enrichment Facility on this Map..Somewhere You may be able to find it.

It is large, it looks like something else, it is isolated, it appears to serve a national purpose but lacks certain facilities, taking advantage of the innate lack of curiosity Japanese suffer and America’s ambivalence at seeing an ally ready to “step up” and accept its historical destiny.

Others have ideas of derailing that destiny.

We are only hinting here, this is a story too dangerous to tell.

We can mention the Bush and McCain family, generations of it, the Dulles family, so many familiar names Japan has several thousand kilograms of machined Plutonium “pits” in storage here, enough to “go nuclear” in hours if threatened by China.

This facility is under threat of destruction by what is meant to appear as an earthquake.

The source of the quake will be a Russian nuclear warhead, currently on-board a German diesel/electric Model 21 submarine heading for refueling at this time in the Philippine Islands.

There it will take on a new crew. Refueling will take place adjacent to the Eversley Yacht Club near Mindoro.

We have the names of those involved, the exact location of this operation and the path the submarine will take.

This will be along the Chinese coast, inside Taiwan, past Shanghai and very close to the Korean Peninsula, close enough to be of interest to the government of South Korea.

Planned speed is 13 knots and the submarine will arrive off Japan on June 7, 2012 for a planned rendezvous with the MV Hi Chikyu Maru, the deep sea drilling vessel reported by some to have been conveniently placed during the destruction of the Fukajima nuclear plant, the largest “accident” or “event” of its kind, a thousand times worse than Chernobyl.

Perhaps the most amazing part of this is the cover being used by the Chikyu Maru.

It’s “quasi-official” role is the destruction of Japanese defense infrastructure on behalf of a dozen or more named conspiracies.

Meaning, of course, any convenient “mishap” near this ship cannot be attributed to them as they have been “vaccinated” by planted stories in the fringe press BACKGROUND The nuclear weapon involved had left Bremerhaven, one of four, weeks ago.

We had been told it was taken ashore in the UK, “dialed” or “detuned” to 100 kilotons for an attack to disrupt the London Olympics.

Several intelligence agencies were involved after the American VELA satellite system detected the weapon which disappeared when the submarine submerged immediately after loading.

Gossip from Whitehall indicated that a “certain ministry” had grounded Britain’s aircraft capable of detecting nuclear material, something we were able to confirm from many sources from intelligence agencies to simply Facebook gossip originating from operational personnel.

Days later, the “all clear” was given, and a “not very public” statement was issued to intelligence agencies that the weapon had been recovered.  We now believe this announcement to have been purposefully misleading, that the weapon was moved, not “recovered” and was reloaded onto a German Model 21 U Boat.   Quote from a knowledgeable source on the logistical questions raised by this mission:

“Confusion re U-Boat probably engendered by refit – we think she IS a  Type XXI, but refitted with new diesel engines for surface running and  Type 212 type Air Independent Propulsion.  Transit time right in the ball-park – we are thinking 13 knots,  journey 13,000 nautical miles, transit 1,000 hours, ie approximately  41 days 16 hours.  Allowing for estimated departure on 23rd April, and  two days for refuelling, crew changeover, routine maintenance etc,  arrival in the target are on June 7th is credible, plus or minus say  two days.”

The form of delivery, doom will come in such a historical package, a Nazi superweapon, a submarine decades beyond what was capable, refitted, one of several, on another mission. Editing: Jim W. Dean

By Michael Shrimpton for Veterans Today

This is a hot intel topic and one which has provoked a certain amount of debate within the Intelligence Community (INTELCOM).

That is partly because much of the material, including SATINT of the agency’s HQ in Dachau Germany (about a klick from the old concentration camp, a former DVD facility) has been classified at too high a level in this author’s humble opinion.

As Gordon Duff can confirm this author is very humble.

(Ed: Mike is humble…not.) DVD stands for Deutsches Verteidigungs Dienst, or German Defense Service.  It was set up by German spymaster Admiral Wilhelm Canaris in 1943/4, after he appreciated that Germany was going to lose the war.

He and his deputy, GeneralLeutnant Erwin von Lahousen, a serious Kraut, were determined that Germany would win the peace, which to date she has done.

They started moving files, gold, officers and other stuff down to Dachau from Berlin as early as the fall of 1943.

Nazis were not invited.  The DVD are not and never have been Nazi – these were the boys who installed the Nazis, and they were a lot smarter.

Your average Nazi was pretty dumb, no smarter than your average Democrat. The DVD arranged to extend the war for 6 months, by pushing Operation Market Garden, the abortive attempt to cross the Rhine and outflank the Krauts.

They used assets in the British Army to hold up the advance of XXX Corps on Arnhem and assets in the Air Ministry to suppress photo-intel of the SS Panzer Division they moved in to the Arnhem area, ie our guys were ambushed.

The extra time was needed to move gold, cash and folk out of Germany into Argentina and elsewhere, using a covert fleet of modified Type XXI U-Boats, used for cargo work (they were never put through the books of the Kriegsmarine).

Three at least of that fleet are still in business, 67 years later, refitted with Air Independent Propulsion and new diesels.

If that sounds old remember the Big E – great ship – is still going strong more than 50 years after she was commissioned, indeed her proposed decommissioning is premature. Canaris faked his death in ’45 – he has two graves.

As I reveal in my forthcoming history of the DVD,Spyhunter, there is even a post-war photo of Canaris, in the biography by one of his more loyal lieutenants, one Colonel Whiting, of the OSS and DVD, allegedly taken in 1944 (t wasn’t).

His head of air intelligence was GeneralMajor Adolfo Galland, who has two interesting gaps in his resume, covering the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

The ‘Chinese’ Mig-15s in Korea (a German design by the way) never flew over South Korea and always returned north of the Yalu because most of their pilots were German. Dolfo repeated the same trick in Vietnam.

You won’t find many genuine North Vietnamese air aces signing prints of their Mig-21s – most of the Mig 21 pilots over ‘Nam were Luftwaffe, ie West German, with some East Germans as well.

There was no Cold War split in German intelligence – the DVD ran both the West German BND (Gehlen was DVD) and the Stasi, their key man in East Berlin being the author’s old ‘friend’ (strictly an enemy, but the old boy and he got on well) GeneralOberst Markus Wolf.

It is only in recent years that the last senior Luftwaffe officers with operational experience in ‘Nam have retired.

Many of them were trained by the USAF, eg in Texas, in American air combat tactics, a gross deception by the Germans, who were of course very familiar with the capabilities of the F-4.

The author once ‘congratulated’ a German air force general at a drinkies on shooting down 4 B-52s over Hanoi – the poor guy had nowhere to go.

Of course the author would have much preferred it had the general had been shot down, but if you want your Hun to cough you have to be nice to him.

The author didn’t get intel out of Markus Wolf by being offensive – and you had to get up pretty early in the morning if you wanted something out of Markus.

He was treated badly by his own people by the way, one reason why we know so much about them.  They can’t stop double-crossing their own – your Jerry will always sacrifice another Jerry for the Fatherland.

The DVD control most of the world’s cocaine and heroin trade, all the major paedophile rings and the COREA Group.  They have a UK operation, known as GO2, inspiration for Ian Fleming’s fictional ‘OO’ section.

The Bilderberg group and Trilateral Commission are DVD front organisations, although most of their members are unaware of that – you have to get through to the hard, inner core before you get the intelligence connection.

Nice Trilats like Judge Bill Webster (hi Bill!) are nothing whatsoever to do with the DVD.

The DEA boys south of the border will occasionally encounter the Krauts who control the cartels, but they usually stay pretty deep.

Their political assets are legion, one reason the US lost the Vietnam War and the UK fouled up so badly over the IRA.

They specialise in talent-spotting and blackmailing future leaders.  Several US Presidents have been close to the DVD, Eisenhower being a prominent example.

Kennedy wasn’t, which is why he became an ex-President, sadly.  If you know that Allen ‘von’ Dulles and Richard ‘von’ Helms were DVD it’s a lot easier to make sense of that operation.

In Britain Macmillan, Wilson and Heath were all DVD assets, hence their enthusiasm for the UK joining the EU, aka the German Sphere of Influence.

The bad guys are still in business, in a big way.

The agency seems to have about 10,000 people and its HQ complex is quite large, mostly underground.  Michael Shrimpton Michael Shrimpton was born on 9th March 1957 in the RAF Hospital, Ely, in Cambridgeshire, the son of an RAF fighter pilot and a former RAF nursing sister.

Brought up in Australia, where his family emigrated after his father took up a second career as an Air Traffic Controller, Michael returned to England to study law in 1978.

He graduated with honours from the University of Wales in 1981 and was elected President of the Union of University College Cardiff the same year.

He was called to the Bar by Gray’s Inn in 1983.  Whilst at university he joined the RAFVR’s University of Wales Air Squadron, flying first solo in 1979 on the Bulldog T Mk. 1. Originally a member of the Labour Party and a Parliamentary Candidate in 1987 he defected to the Tory Party on the issue of Europe in 1997.

He has always been opposed to UK membership of the EU. In 1999/2000 he represented the late General Pinochet in successful negotiations in Washington with inter alia the late Lt-Gen Vernon Walters, formerly Deputy Director of the CIA, ensuring the general’s return to Chile.

After that he was increasingly drawn into the intelligence world, representing intelligence officers and providing analysis to governments and intelligence agencies.

After 9-11 he appeared on specialist counter-terrorism panels in Washington and LA with former general and flag officers.

His analysis on the true pilot training of the 9-11 pilots has never been seriously challenged within INTELCOM.

He assisted both Joint Congressional Inquiry into 9-11 and met with a member of the 9-11 Commission in Washington.

Michael has briefed staffers on the House Foreign Relations Committee and the Senate Intelligence Committee.

He was a frequent visitor to the Pentagon in the Bush-Cheney years.  He was a speaker at the inaugural Intelligence Conference (Intelcon) in 2005 and the Intelligence Summit in 2006, after which he was flown out to the USS Enterprise at sea by the US Navy, as part of their Distinguished Visitor Program.

He is one of comparatively few British civilians to have completed a carrier landing and catapult take-off cycle from a US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier.

In 2006 he was appointed to the Adjunct Faculty of the American Military University, where he taught on the Masters in Strategic Intelligence Program.

He has been a sometime member of the Royal United Services Institute, the Military Commentators Circle, the International Institute of Strategic Studies and Chatham House.

He has published in the national security field and in 2010 took an 18 month sabbatical to write his ground-breaking intelligence text Spyhunter.

He has a wide range of defence and intelligence contacts.  Although mostly concerned with intelligence analysis, teaching and writing Michael has popped up in the occasional hotspot, such as the West Bank, the Golan Heights and Israeli-Lebanese frontier.

He has travelled widely, including Eastern Europe and has visited over 35 US states, including Alaska. Short URL: http://www.veteranstoday.com/?p=209288

FUKUSHIMA: Pacific Ocean Will Not Dilute Dumped Radioactive Water

According to Previously-Secret 1955 Government Report:

by Washington’s Blog
Global Research, June 1, 2012
The operator of the stricken Fukushima nuclear plant has been dumping something like a thousand tons per day of radioactive water into the Pacific ocean.
Remember, the reactors are “riddled with meltdown holes”, building 4 – with more radiation than all nuclear bombs ever dropped or tested – is missing entire walls,
and building 3 is a pile of rubble.
The whole complex is leaking like a sieve, and the rivers of water pumped into the reactors every day are just pouring into the ocean (with only a slight delay).
Most people assume that the ocean will dilute the radiation from Fukushima enough that any radiation reaching the West Coast of the U.S. will be low.
For example, the Congressional Research Service wrote in April:Scientists have stated that radiation in the ocean very quickly becomes diluted and would not be a problem beyond the coast of Japan.
*** U.S. fisheries are unlikely to be affected because radioactive material that enters the marine environment would be greatly diluted before reaching U.S. fishing grounds.
And a Woods Hole oceanographer said:“The Kuroshio current is considered like the Gulf Stream of the Pacific, a very large current that can rapidly carry the radioactivity into the interior” of the ocean, Buesseler said. “But it also dilutes along the way, causing a lot of mixing and decreasing radioactivity as it moves offshore.”
But – just as we noted 2 days after the earthquake hit that the jet stream might carry radiation to the U.S. by wind – we are now warning that ocean currents might carry more radiation to the at least some portions of the West Coast of North America than is assumed.
Specifically, we noted more than a year ago:The ocean currents head from Japan to the West Coast of the U.S. As AP notes:The floating debris will likely be carried by currents off of Japan toward Washington, Oregon and California before turning toward Hawaii and back again toward Asia, circulating in what is known as the North Pacific gyre, said Curt Ebbesmeyer, a Seattle oceanographer who has spent decades tracking flotsam.

*** “All this debris will find a way to reach the West coast or stop in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch,” a swirling mass of concentrated marine litter in the Pacific Ocean, said Luca Centurioni, a researcher at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego. Here is what the North Pacific Gyre looks like: North Pacific Subtropical Convergence Zone Previously Secret 1955 Government Report Concluded that Ocean May Not Adequately Dilute Radiation from Nuclear Accidents NPR reports:CNN said that “the Hawaiian islands may get a new and unwelcome addition in coming months — a giant new island of debris floating in from Japan.” It relied in part on work done by the University of Hawaii’s International Pacific Research Center, which predicts that:“In three years, the [debris] plume will reach the U.S. West Coast, dumping debris on Californian beaches and the beaches of British Columbia, Alaska, and Baja California. The debris will then drift into the famous North Pacific Garbage Patch, where it will wander around and break into smaller and smaller pieces. In five years, Hawaii shores can expect to see another barrage of debris that is stronger and longer lastingthan the first one. Much of the debris leaving the North Pacific Garbage Patch ends up on Hawaii’s reefs and beaches.”Indeed, CNN notes:The debris mass, which appears as an island from the air, contains cars, trucks, tractors, boats and entire houses floating in the current heading toward the U.S. and Canada, according to ABC News. The bulk of the debris will likely not be radioactive, as it was presumably washed out to sea during the initial tsunami – before much radioactivity had leaked. But this shows the power of the currents from Japan to the West Coast. An animated graphic from the University of Hawaii’s International Pacific Research Center shows the projected dispersion of debris from Japan: Simulation of Debris from March 11 2011 Japan tsunami Previously Secret 1955 Government Report Concluded that Ocean May Not Adequately Dilute Radiation from Nuclear Accidents Indeed, an island of Japanese debris the size of California is hitting the West Coast of North America … and some of it is radioactive. In addition to radioactive debris, MIT says that seawater which is itself radioactive may begin hitting the West Coast within 5 years. Given that the debris is hitting faster than predicted, it is possible that the radioactive seawater will as well. And the Congressional Research Service admitted:However, there remains the slight potential for a relatively narrow corridor of highly contaminated water leading away from Japan … *** Transport by ocean currents is much slower, and additional radiation from this source might eventually also be detected in North Pacific waters under U.S. jurisdiction, even months after its release. Regardless of slow ocean transport, the long half-life of radioactive cesium isotopes means that radioactive contaminants could remain a valid concern for ears.Indeed, nuclear expert Robert Alvarez – senior policy adviser to the Energy Department’s secretary and deputy assistant secretary for national security and the environment from 1993 to 1999 – wrote yesterday:

According to a previously secret 1955 memo from the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission regarding concerns of the British government over contaminated tuna, “dissipation of radioactive fall-out in ocean waters is not a gradual spreading out of the activity from the region with the highest concentration to uncontaminated regions, but that in all probability the process results in scattered pockets and streams of higher radioactive materials in the Pacific.

We can speculate that tuna which now show radioactivity from ingested materials [this is in 1955, not today] have been living, in or have passed through, such pockets; or have been feeding on plant and animal life which has been exposed in those areas.”

Because of the huge amounts of radioactive water Tepco is dumping into the Pacific Ocean, and the fact that the current pushes waters from Japan to the West Coast of North America, at least some of these radioactive “streams” or “hot spots” will likely end up impacting the West Coast.

Nuclear Expert on Japan’s MOX: “I think the ship is sinking beneath them” — “It’s crazy” — “There really is a credibility problem here

Plutonium reprocessing plan raises alarm amid shutdown

Critics wonder why MOX plan is running when reactors are idle

Last year’s tsunami crisis left Japan’s nuclear aspirations in doubt and its reactors idled, rendering its huge stockpile of plutonium useless. So, the nuclear industry’s plan to produce even more this year has raised a red flag.
Nuclear industry officials say they hope to start producing half a ton of toxic plutonium within months, in addition to the more than 35 tons Japan already has stored around the world.
That is even though all the reactors that might use it are either inoperable or offline while the government rethinks its gung-ho nuclear energy policy after the crisis at Tokyo Electric Power Co.’s Fukushima No. 1 plant.
“It’s crazy,” said Princeton University professor Frank von Hippel, a leading authority on nonproliferation issues and a former assistant director for national security in the White House Office of Science and Technology.
“There is absolutely no reason to do that.” Japan’s nuclear industry produces plutonium
— which is strictly regulated globally because it also is used for nuclear weapons
— by reprocessing some of its spent, uranium-based fuel in a procedure that it hopes will help decrease the amount of radioactive waste that would otherwise require long-term storage.
The industry wants to step up its reprocessing output to build up reserves in anticipation of when it has a network of reactors that run on MOX, a next-generation mixed-oxide fuel that makes use of plutonium gleaned from other sources
— such as old fuel or discarded warheads
— and can be reused in a self-contained cycle
— but that much-delayed day is still far off.
Japanese officials argue that, once those plans are in place, the reactors will draw down the stockpile and use up most of it by 2030. “There is no excess plutonium in this country,” said Koichi Imafuku, an official at the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy.
“It’s not just lying around without purpose.” In the meantime, the post-Fukushima review of nuclear policy is pitting a growing number of critics who want to turn away from plutonium altogether against an entrenched nuclear industry, or “village,” that continues to forge ahead with it.
Other countries, including the United States, have scaled back the separation of plutonium because it is a proliferation concern and more expensive than the alternatives, including long-term storage of spent fuel.
Fuel reprocessing remains unreliable, and it is questionable whether it is a viable way of reducing the massive number of spent fuel rods, said Takeo Kikkawa, a Hitotsubashi University professor specializing in energy issues.
“Japan should abandon the program altogether,” said Hideyuki Ban, codirector of the respected antinuclear Citizens’ Nuclear Information Center.
“Then we can also contribute to the global effort for nuclear nonproliferation.” Von Hippel stressed that only two other countries reprocess on a large scale: France and Britain, and Britain has decided to give it up.
Japan’s civilian-use plutonium stockpile is already the fifth-largest in the world and has enough plutonium to make about 5,000 simple nuclear warheads, although it does not manufacture them.
Because of the inherent dangers of plutonium stockpiles, government regulations require industry representatives to announce by March 31 how much plutonium they intend to produce in the year ahead and explain how they will use it.
But, for the second year in a row, the industry has failed to do so.
Instead, it blames the government for failing to come up with a long-term nuclear policy after Fukushima and says it nevertheless wants to make more plutonium if it can get a reprocessing plant up and running by October.
Kimitake Yoshida, a spokesman for the Federation of Electric Power Companies, said the plutonium would be converted into MOX
— a mixture of plutonium and uranium
— which can be loaded back into reactors and reused in a cycle. But technical glitches, cost overruns and local opposition have kept Japan from actually putting the moving parts of that plan into action. In the meantime, Japan’s plutonium stockpile
— most of which is stored in France and Britain
— has swelled despite Tokyo’s promise to international regulators not to produce a plutonium surplus. Its plutonium holdings have increased fivefold from about 7 tons in 1993 to 37 tons at the end of 2010.
Japan initially said the stockpile would shrink rapidly in the early 2000s as its fuel cycle kicked in, but that has not happened.
Critics argue that since no additional spent fuel is being created, and there are questions about how the plutonium will be used, this is not a good time start producing more.
They also say it makes no sense for Japan to minimize its plutonium glut by calling it a “stockpile” rather than a “surplus.” “It’s a simple accounting trick,” said Edwin Lyman, a physicist with the Union of Concerned Scientists.
“It’s laughable. And it sends the wrong signal all around the world.” Officials stress that, like other plutonium-holding nations, Japan files a yearly report detailing its stockpile with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
But it has repeatedly failed to live up to its own schedules for how the plutonium, which is highly toxic when inhaled, will be used.
From 2006 until 2009, the nuclear industry said the MOX will be used in 16 to 18 conventional reactors “in or after” 2010.
In fact, only two reactors used MOX that year. By the time of the earthquake and tsunami last year, the number was still just three
— including one at the Fukushima plant.
In response to the delays, the industry has simply dated its plans further off into the future.
It is now shooting for the end of fiscal 2015.

“There really is a credibility problem here,” said Princeton’s von Hippel, who also is a member of the independent International Panel on Fissile Materials. “They keep making up these schedules which are never realized,” von Hippel said. “I think the ship is sinking beneath them.”

Fukushima Radiation Hitting the Streets of LA

Dees Illustration

Dr. Mark Sircus Activist Post Right after Chernobyl blew its top, Edward Teller said on the ABC Evening News in late April 1986, “The chances of a real calamity at a nuclear power station are infinitesimally small. But should it happen, the consequences are impossible to imagine.”

The plume from the burning graphite at Chernobyl initially traveled in a northwest direction toward Sweden, Finland and Eastern Europe, exposing the public to levels up to 100 times the normal background radiation.

Hope Burwell wrote, “On my first trip to Chernobyl in November 2000, I spent three days touring schools in Cherikov and the even more contaminated areas of the Mogilev district. Then we traveled to children’s hospitals in Minsk.

What I saw there still shows up in nightmares: children with eyes in the sides of their heads, and children with no eyes at all, children with fingers that look like toes and children whose genitals are so poorly formed one can’t determine their sex.

Those nightmares are audible with infant wails like the cries of wounded wild animals.” In her widely read essay Burwell reported that 23% of Belarus was contaminated with Chernobyl’s fallout, 32,592 square miles, more land than six eastern states combined. The average level of contamination on the polluted territories, 37 curies (Ci) per square kilometer, is notated scientifically as 37Ci/km2.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) set the “safe for residency limit” at a maximum of 5Ci/km2. Eighty-eight percent of contaminated Belarus is 111-370 times more contaminated than that.

Western predictions of Chernobyl’s consequences were based on Hiroshima-Nagasaki data, and on the then-current belief that iodine-131 had a low carcinogenic potential. But within a year after the accident, Belarusan scientists reported an increase in a rare childhood thyroid cancer to 5,000 times its spontaneous occurrence in “clean” countries.

According to the 2000 report on Minsk’s United Nations Development Program (UNDP), life expectancy in Belarus in the 1960s was almost level with that in Western Europe.

By 1999, 13 years after Chernobyl, it had fallen 12-14 years for men and 7-9 years for women. A baby boy born in rural Belarus today can expect to live 59 years.

But they may be very hard years. Nearly half of Belarus’s teenagers have serious health problems. Of those graduating from high school, 45-47% have physical disorders like gastrointestinal anomalies, weakened hearts, and cataracts; 40% of them have chronic “blood disorders” and malfunctioning thyroids.

The number of handicapped adolescents has tripled in the last decade. It has always been known that ionizing radiation, in higher doses than background levels, can cause measurable increase in cancers and leukemias as well as cause genetic mutations that affect future generations.

Whether they say it openly or not, this is what we are facing today in Japan, Hawaii, the continental United States, Canada and Europe, which have all received too much radiation from Fukushima.

No one wants to imagine the future and what will happen even if the situation does not get worse. Radiation is pouring out of Fukushima and that radiation is hitting the streets of Los Angles quite hard.

In April 2012 environmental journalist and LA Weekly contributor Michael Collins, an independent who has tested over 1500 samples since the Fukushima earthquake of 2011, was shocked to find that radiation levels in the falling rain over L.A. measured five times above normal. A March 6th test of a HEPA filter recorded radiation levels668% or 6.68 times the normal background radiation levels. This test took place 43 days after initial tests and shows a 130% increase since January 22nd 2012.

“The California Highway Patrol considers anything over three times background, 300% of background above, a trigger level to a hazardous materials situation,” reported the EnviroReporter. Our last HEPA filter measurements January 22 produced some astonishing results.

Doing a spot test on the Honeywell barrel-style filter and a Kenmore Plasmawave, we found radiation ~351% of normal background. The machines had been running for 42 days.

The combined aggregate dust came in even hotter at 538% of normal background radiation at Radiation Station Santa Monica. Now 43 days later the dust was a lot hotter. A spot test was ~377% of the previous background.

Then we vacuumed out the filters with a HEPA filter Eureka vacuum cleaner and tested the aggregate. The March 6 test of the combined dust came in at a sizzling 668% of background or 6.68 times normal.

Since the last testing period, the radiation detected has risen another 130% indicating a continued upward trend. That radiation is rising in Los Angeles as it is in many places in the northern hemisphere.

For some reality checking, we have the New York Times saying that, “The amount of radioactive materials released in the first days of the Fukushima nuclear disaster was almost two and a half times the initial estimate by Japanese safety regulators, the operator of the crippled plant said in a report released on the 24th of May, 2012.

“The operator, the Tokyo Electric Power Company, said the meltdowns it believes took place at three reactors at the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant released about 900,000 terabecquerels of radioactive substances into the air during March 2011.

The accident, which followed an earthquake and a tsunami, occurred on March 11. The latest estimate was based on measurements suggesting the amount of iodine-131 released by the nuclear accident was much larger than previous estimates, the utility said in the report. Iodine-131 is a fast-decaying radioactive substance produced by fission that takes place inside a nuclear reactor. It has a half-life of eight days and can cause thyroid cancer.”

The newly released information just adds insult to injury to not only the Japanese but everyone on the west coast of North America, then onward across the plains to the east coast and then Europe. There are literally a billion people that have not been told the extent of the accident or the risks it posed directly for them.

A terabecquerel is a trillion becquerels, a commonly used measure of the radiation emitted by a radioactive material. So the New York Times is saying that early on 900,000,000,000,000,000 becquerels were released in the first 20 days of the nuclear disaster. Sounds like a lot but how much is that really?

The becquerel is a useful measure of the amount of radiation emitted by a substance, but it tells us little about the effect of that radiation on our bodies.

Radiation can damage our bodies by breaking the chemical bonds in our cells. The amount of damage done depends on how much radiation we are exposed to.

This in turn depends on how much radioactive material is present in our environment, our food and so on. So it is important to have some way to talk about amounts of radiation. This is what the unit becquerel is for.

“The greatest human experiment with radiation exposure is taking place in the Ukraine and Byelorussia, where much of the 50 million curies the Soviet government says were released by the 1986 accident at Chernobyl is being felt… Chernobyl legacy could include hundreds of thousands of additional cancer deaths…

Current estimates predict anything from 14,000 to 475,500 deaths worldwide from Chernobyl.” (A curie measures the intensity of radiation and is equal to 37 billion disintegrations per second. As a reference point, the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs released an estimated one million curies.)

If we translate what the New York Times is saying in terms of radiation released in the first 20 days, 900,000 terabecquerels translates into 27 million curies.

It is over a year later and no one knows or is saying how much aggregate radiation has been released but we can imagine it’s a staggering amount.

One curie is the amount of radiation equal to the disintegration of 37 billion atoms—37 billion becquerels—per second. It is a very large amount of radiation.

We multiply these amounts (27 million curies times 37 billion radioactive atoms) and we are back to just a little more than our 900,000 terabecquerels… all the way up to 999,000,000,000,000,000 becquerels, which translates into 999,000,000,000,000,000 nuclear particles decaying in the first 20 days of the Fukushima nuclear nightmare.

TEPCO has reported on what happens when it opens doors in Fukushima. An estimated 1.6 billion becquerels of radioactive materials were released, compared with 500 million becquerels when the double doors of the building of reactor No. 1 were opened one day in May.

So let’s go back to Belarus where the average level of contamination on the polluted territories was 37Ci/km2 and the maximum safe limit for residency is 5Ci/km2.

We had 27 million curies released in the first 20 days and that would contaminate an area of approximately five million square kilometers if distributed equally.

Of course that never happens as we can see in the fallout patterns surrounding Chernobyl. It can be assumed that the worst of the radiation was released in the first month with the complete meltdown of multiple reactor cores and the destruction and probably vaporization of spent-fuel rods.

Radioactive News Health authorities continue to insist that there are no health risks involved, but The Huffington Post tells us that bluefin tuna caught in California last August showed radiation levels that were ten times the norm, according to a new paper from the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences journal.

Scientists believe that the radiation—in the form of the isotopes caesium-137 and caesium-134—came from the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear disaster that began in March of 2011.

In addition, radioactive debris is already being found on West Coast shores as far as Washington State and is expected to continue to be washed up in the next three years.

From: americankabuki@yahoo.com Subject: Truth about 311 Quake To: Benjamin Fulford

I’m about to publish this video on my blog, do you have any thoughts to add.
Are the subtitles in English accurate?
From: Benjamin Fulford To: americankabuki@yahoo.comI know Richard Koshimizu.
He started doing his research into the secret government after he was nearly murdered in an insurance fraud. He is a good researcher.
I know from direct testimony from the people who smuggled the nuclear weapon into Japan that was used for the 311 attack that it was an artificial earthquake.
I also know that J. Rockefeller was offering nuclear waste clean up contracts as bribes to senior Japanese politicians before the Earthquake and nuclear terror took place.
We are going to get these bastards and we are going to make sure they never terrorize the planet again. Please quote me.

Note: Richard Koshimizu refers to the culprits as the USA.  I don’t think any American would approve of such a heinous crime if they knew about it.  The culprits behind the Earthquake are the Cabal.

Report: Japan journalist says it’s all a big conspiracy theory to conceal facts — Public has been brainwashed — Local press is just covering up

Published: June 10th, 2012 at 11:58 pm ET By ENENews

Answers Now: How authentic is Takashi Uesugi’s Fukushima Reporting? Japan Daily Press Radhika Seth June 11, 2012 A lot is being speculated about freelance journalist Takashi Uesugi’s reporting on the Fukushima disaster.

From his perspective, it’s all a big conspiracy theory to conceal the facts about the radiation levels reported and other such stuff.

If we go by his claims, then independent journalists and international media has got it right, while the local press is just covering up the glitches and playing hand-in-glove with the Japanese government. According to Uesugi, the Japanese public has been brainwashed to such an extent that they are lapping up the ‘lies’ that the local media has been dishing out.

However netizens are lashing back with counter-claims that it is Uesugi who needs to get his facts right!

Below is a reproduction of some of the claims that Uesugi has made, with the counterclaims as well. See the full report for the analysis of Uesugi’s statements.

Comments to a similar article on Japan Probe add some insight: […] you don’t give much attention to things that Uesugi got right and that were basically ignored by the mainstream media.

For example, he talked about the re-exclusion of foreign journalists and free journalists from the kantei kisha kaiken (press conferences at the prime minister’s residence) immediately after the earthquake.

As best I can figure out, this (and many other things he wrote about) actually happened while most of the Japanese media were basically silent about it. Reply to above:

I totally agree with you. Also ” a scary photo of the reactor no. 3 hydrogen explosion has been censored in Japan” is kind of true. Actually it is not the photo, but TVs. Japanese TVs didn’t show the explosion of the reactor at the time, but foreign medias did. I remember it clearly. Watching two different news about an accident that may affect your life was not nice thing to experience. ——————————————————————–

By the way, there have been big problems at Spent Fuel Pool #4 that began this past Monday (6/4/12). NHK never made this news into a video but you can view the article here: http://www3.nhk.or.jp/daily/english/20120606_31.html

TEPCO resumes cooling of Fukushima fuel pool The operator of the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant has resumed cooling of a fuel storage pool at the facility. The work had been suspended due to failure of a water cooling pump.

The pump at the Number 4 reactor building pool stopped working on Monday night after becoming burnt.

The pool holds 1,535 spent and unused fuel rods, the most at the plant. Tokyo Electric Power Company, or TEPCO, used a backup pump, but on Tuesday, it also broke.

The firm fixed the pump on Wednesday, and restarted it at around 6 PM. TEPCO says the pool’s temperature at 11 AM on Wednesday was 40 degrees Celsius, up six degrees from a day before. As of 5 PM, the temperature had risen to 42 degrees.

TEPCO expects the temperature to fall by about 10 degrees over next 12 to 24 hours. The firm plans to begin removing the rods from the pool by the end of next year.

But experts say they’re worried about the pool’s anti-earthquake resistance despite ongoing reinforcement, as the pool was severely damaged by a hydrogen explosion following the March 2011 disaster. Jun. 6, 2012 –

Fukushima Threatens The Continuation of Life as We Know It

Published on May 11, 2012 by TheAlexJonesChannel

Mike Adams presents a Fukushima mega-meltdown special on the Friday, May 11 edition of the Alex Jones Show. Adams talks with Arnie Gundersen, the chief engineer of energy consulting company Fairewinds Associates and a former nuclear power industry executive.

Mr. Gundersen continues to warn about the cataclysmic potential of the damaged Fukushima nuclear plant and is now warning about serious problems at the San Onofre nuclear plant in San Diego.

The Fukushima Diary reports today that Koichi Oyama, a member of the city council of Minamisoma in the prefecture of Fukushima, has measured unusually high levels of cesium 134 and 137 in the soil of his city.

Soil samples were analyzed by the Minamisoma government and found to be 122 times more contaminated than the mandatory evacuation zone in Belarus north of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.

Cesium causes cancer of the liver, kidneys, pancreas and other organs. It is particularly dangerous when it is in the soil and ends up in food. In March, it was reported that cesium was detected in plankton 600 kilometers east of the Fukushima facility, according to a Japan-U.S. joint research team.

Radiation Protection and You: Cheap easy ways to protect yourself and your family

Uploaded by michellehill94 on 2 May 2011

Every day our bodies are exposed to low-level radiation from natural and human-made sources. Now with the unfolding nuclear disaster at Fukushima it is even more urgent to take care of your health.

You may want to include a consistent regimen of herbs, foods and other treatments that prevents your body from storing radioactive particles.

The following herbs and foods have been shown to help fight the damage of radiation and free radicals: Kelp,Seaweed, spirulina, chlorella,Dark green vegetables (these are natural sources of iodine) cilantro, rosemary, ginsing, dandelion, eating a macrobiotic diet, probiotics, turmeric.pomegranate, ginger, oranges. Vitamin C,D,E flaxseed oil,Alpha lipoic acid, green tea (High in Bioflavinoids) lots of pure clean water Epsom salts baths or baking soda baths with bentonite clay,

This helps pull heavy metals and toxins from the body and helps with radiation sickness. Taking baking soda internally will help to lower the body’s PH level which helps fight cancer according to many study’s. Radioactive Sickness Prevention- Potassium Iodide

Uploaded by  on 15 Mar 2011

http://www.bt.cdc.gov/radiation/ki.asp The Center for Disease Control’s Guide to Potassium Iodine

Having been to Chernobyl and live on the West Coast wanted to give proper info on this preventative measure. These are the Center For Disease Control’s guidelines (CDC) not mine.

BE safe and well The Truth About Potassium Iodine What is Potassium Iodine? Potassium iodide is a salt of stable (not radioactive) iodine. Stable iodine is an important chemical needed by the body to make thyroid hormones.

How Iodine Works Following a nuclear event, radioactive iodine may be released into the air and then be breathed into the lungs. Radioactive iodine may also contaminate the local food supply and get into the body through food or through drink.

When radioactive materials get into the body through breathing, eating, or drinking, we say that “internal contamination” has occurred. Because non-radioactive KI acts to block radioactive iodine from being taken into the thyroid gland, it can help protect this gland from injury. KI cannot prevent radioactive iodine from entering the body.

KI can protect only the thyroid from radioactive iodine, not other parts of the body. KI cannot reverse the health effects caused by radioactive iodine once damage has occurred. KI cannot protect the body from radioactive elements other than radioactive iodine.

You should not use table salt as a substitute for KI. KI may not give a person 100% protection against radioactive iodine. When should I take KI? After a nuclear event, local emergency management officials will tell the public if KI or other protective actions are needed. For example, public health officials may advise you to remain in your home, school, place of work or to evacuate.

You may also be told not to eat some foods and not to drink some beverages until a safe supply can be found. How much KI should I take? According to the FDA, the following doses are appropriate to take after internal contamination with radioactive iodine:

• Adults and Women who are breastfeeding should take 130 mg

• Children between 3 and 18 years of age should take 65 mg Children who are adult size (greater than or equal to 150 pounds) should take the full adult dose, regardless of their age.

• Infants and children between 1 month and 3 years of age should take 32 mg • Newborns from birth to 1 month of age should be given 16 mg

• How often should I take KI? •

A single dose of KI protects the thyroid gland for 24 hours. Public health officials may tell you to take one dose of KI every 24 hours for a few days. You should do this only on the advice of emergency management officials, public health officials, or your doctor.

• Taking a higher dose of KI, or taking KI more often than recommended, does not offer more protection and can cause severe illness or death.

• You should not take KI if

• you know you are allergic to iodine

• • you have certain skin disorders (such as dermatitis herpetiformis or urticaria vasculitis). In all cases, talk to your doctor if you are not sure whether to take KI.

Make Potassium Iodide

Uploaded by mrhomescientist on 5 Dec 2010

If you want to read about this video and how it relates to the recent concerns about radiation in Japan, see the following post on my blog:http://thehomescientist.blogspot.com/2011/03/potassium-iodide-and-radiation.html

Here I make potassium iodide from elemental iodine and potassium hydroxide. 3I2 + 6KOH == 5KI + KIO3 + 3H2O The coproduct of potassium iodate can be separated easily because it is far less soluble in water, and to ensure it was all precipitated out I immersed the solution in an ice bath.

This video is a good demonstration of how things really go when you do chemistry yourself.

You start with a bunch of assumptions, and a lot of the time many of these are proven wrong and you have to figure out another way to do it.

For example, the additional heating I had to do and the fact that I used too much iodine. I’ve added a number of annotations to highlight this as well.

Highest Radiation Detected In Japan’s Fukushima Reactor

6/28/2012 8:14 AM ET (RTTNews) – The highest level of radiation to date has been detected inside the No.1 reactor at the tsunami-wrecked Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Japan.
The plant’s operator Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) said on Thursday it used endoscopes and dosimeters to examine the interior of the reactor.
A record level of 10,300 millisieverts per hour was detected in the internal measurement carried out for the first time since the March, 2011 accident.
The measurement was taken 20 centimeters above the surface of a contaminated water puddle in the reactor’s suppression chamber.
This high level of radiation would be fatal for humans within 50 minutes.
A measurement of 1,000 millisieverts per hour was detected about four meters above the water surface, which is ten times higher than measured in the No.2 and No.3 reactors, Japanese media reported.
TEPCO official Junichi Matsumoto said he suspected that a higher radiation level in the No.1 reactor was caused by more fuel rods melting down than in other reactors.
He said robots would be used for damage assessment because it was unsafe for humans to work on the site.
Meanwhile, Officials from the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency apologized to Kawauchi village mayor Yuko Endo and communities around the plant for failing to release maps showing dangerous radiation areas.
Residents of the village were forced to evacuate after the government designated 20-kilometer radius of the plant as no-entry zone.
The mayor said if the information were given to the village, people could have avoided evacuating into areas of high radiation.
He also said more than a year has passed since the accident, and the apology meant nothing.
The maps were provided by the United States days after the tsunami-triggered accident. U.S. Energy Department scientists used aerial surveys to compile the maps showing the spread of radiation around the stricken plant.

The information was given to the Japanese Education and Science Ministry and the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, the country’s nuclear watchdog, through the Foreign Ministry. by RTT Staff Writer For comments and feedback: editorial@rttnews.com

Doomed Planet For A Failed Species? Fukushima’s Tragic Nuclear Consequences

Richard Wilcox Activist Post In all things of nature, there is something of the marvelous.

— Aristotle In wildness is the preservation of the world. — Henry David Thoreau The earth is what we all have in common.

— Wendell Berry We’ve arranged a global civilization in which most crucial elements profoundly depend on science and technology. We have also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology.

This is a prescription for disaster. We might get away with it for a while, but sooner or later this combustible mixture of ignorance and power is going to blow up in our faces. — Carl Sagan The issue of the environment can be viewed through a fascinating variety of historical and philosophical lenses (1; 2; 3; 4; 5). We, the “failed species,” find ourselves on the verge of “transhumanist” transcendence, or, on the skids toward extinction on an eroded and polluted planet (6; 7).

Without a biodiverse ecology, there is no economy. Don’t try to kill Mother Nature, she will sneeze at you, wait a few million years and then go on to something else.

The amount of highly radioactive waste from global nuclear power production increases every day.The monetary cost of storing or disposing of it (probably eventually just dumping it back into the environment when no one is looking), is skyrocketing. As yet, there is no safe storage method that is tried and true. Although dry cask storage is much safer than open fuel pools, it is an interim and not long term storage solution (8).

Considering the high cost and danger of storing nuclear waste for thousands of years, why don’t we just switch to a non-nuclear energy economy today? Japan is the most outrageous example of bad planning.

In the most seismically volatile region of the world it would be unthinkable to bury the waste, and “recycling” the spent fuel was a Promethean dream. But there may be hope.

The Technopians have informed us that “nuclear waste containers could be easily and safely transported up the Space Elevator to a suitable point and then launched from there towards the sun with an absolute minimum risk to life and the environment on Earth“ (9).

A seemingly insurmountable problem “easily” solved. If the Space Elevator idea goes as well as nuclear energy, then we’ll no longer have to worry about a radioactively contaminated future. Thank the Technopians. An Experiment Gone Awry Activist Post, an informative journal which is concerned with disturbing social trends, recently featured an author who presciently and saliently observes that:

Whether it is nuclear power generation or nuclear detonation, all nuclear industry is experimental ….

Will top management of utility companies – people whose focus seldom reaches beyond the balance sheets of current quarter and perhaps one subsequent quarter – exercise an appropriate level of control on wastes that will be dangerously radioactive for dozens of thousands of years? ….

The time, energy and resources that have been invested into nuclear experimentation are likely incalculable. It is an industry of inhuman lies and practices, one which voids all consideration of clean air, clean water and healthy food.

Where humanity would be today without nuclear experimentation is impossible to say, but without it surely the planet would be less toxic and polluted. I submit that…if it were not for nuclear experimentation humanity could already have free, or for all extents and purposes endless and harmless, power sources ….

It is obvious that the oligarchical collectivism of the nuclear experimentation industry has indirectly eliminated alternative power systems to the extraction of and concoction of dangerous minerals. It has done so simply through its existence as well as through diabolical influence and outright subversion of systems less oligarchical ….

The biggest issue on the Earth is that of nuclear experimentation. Stop nuclear experimentation, for the children (10).

While progress to create stability at the Fukushima Nuclear Power Station (FNPS) can be said to be occurring, in some technical aspects, it is so slow that in reality it can also be said to be deteriorating.

We are in the nuclear experimentation netherworld. During his current visit to Japan, nuclear expert, Arnie Gundersen met with Japanese parliamentarians and gave a lecture to concerned citizens in Tokyo (11).

During his lecture he confirmed that he has “seen no interest on the part of Tepco or NISA about getting other experts involved in the process” of helping to shore up the FNPS.

When Gundersen spoke with Tepco he suggested they use “lighter casks” for the Unit 4 fuel pool because they would be better for moving the nuclear fuel rods. Tepco dismissed this because like all nuclear operators, they don’t want to spend the money. Worst of all, Gundersen reported that:

If an earthquake damages the pool and the water drains out, it’s less than a day before the fire begins. Which is why when I asked Tepco have you prepositioned chemicals on-site in the event you were to lose water, and to hear they had not even considered prepositioning chemicals was frankly appalling.

his level of arrogance is typical of the nuclear establishment which shrugs its shoulders and walks away every time they mess things up. Gundersen was also recently interviewed by the intrepid Helen Caldicott, medical doctor and long time anti-nuclear campaigner (12).

The entire interview is highly recommended listening, not only for its incredible technical information, but also to enjoy the brilliance and humor of two of our most venerable activists.

Where are the leagues of other nuclear engineers speaking out with such expertise? There are not many. Gundersen has intimate knowledge of what is happening at the FNPS and one wonders how he gets his information.

Other than that in the public domain are there at least some concerned officials feeding him data? Gundersen tends to speak conservatively and there is certainly room for other interpretations of the situation.

He may be sugar-coating the truth at times, but I think he rarely or never exaggerates the dangers. These are main points summarized from Gundersen and Caldicott’s conversation:

  • Unit 4 is being cleaned up so that Tepco can put in place the crane to remove the fuel rods. This work will not be completed before
  • 2015 or 2016. Tepco plans to construct a building on top of what is currently there at Unit 4 in order to put in place a huge crane for
  • removing the rods, which will then be placed in
  • casks on the ground.
  • There are concerns that the fuel rods will be damaged, but ideally they can just pull them out and put them into dry cask storage.
  • There is a chance they will not be removed easily and get “jammed” when they try pull them out. This could take years!
  • It is a very long, involved process. “They are taking way too long.” This process has to be repeated for the other reactor fuel pools as well.
  • In the meantime we have to hope there is not another large earthquake, even though geologists think there is a likely chance of one.
  • The fuel in Units 1, 2, 3 is melted down to the bottom of the reactors or “lying on the concrete” at the foundation of the reactor buildings.
  • It took ten years to remove fuels from a melted reactor at Three Mile Island after its disaster in the US in 1979. TMI was a minor accident
  • compared to Fukushima.
  • The three reactor units at Fukushima are so highly radioactive that a million bq/liter is measured in water in surrounding buildings.
  • That means that in the reactor buildings themselves the radiation would be exponentially higher.
  • Gundersen believes the radiation is so high in the reactor areas that workers cannot do the job. The only “solution” will be to pour concrete on
  • top of the units while “walking away for three hundred years, obviously monitoring it.” This could happen in a few years from now.
  • However, Caldicott points out that the radiation will seep down into the water table for the rest of time. Arnie agrees: there is no good solution.
  • Although “the solution would be to bore holes from underneath, and constantly pull water from out from under the building so it can be treated
  • .” This would have to be done for a
  • couple of hundred years to prevent contamination of the Pacific Ocean.
  • If Japan’s economy shrinks, cracks, contracts and or collapses due to a variety of factors, will they have the knowledge and money to carry on
  • with this project? Gundersen estimates the cost of the Fukushima disaster will be 500 billion dollars. The Japanese taxpayer will pay for it.
  • Weighed against Japan’s rapidly aging and declining population the Japanese will be carrying a huge economic burden. The detrimental
  • health effects from radiation will effect a substantial proportion of Japan’s population into the mists of time but will be covered up and hidden
  • from public view, even as they
  • perish.

A Special Warm Place The other day I went to a “going away” (escape) party for some friends. I met a young Japanese oceanographer I know. He is very well educated and I asked him about living in Fukushima; he agreed it is dangerous. His area of study is not related to radiation in the ocean, but he is familiar with the government’s monitoring of radiation in fish.

Strangely, he did not know difference between external and internal radiation and discounted the danger of tainted food, believing “small amounts” are not harmful. Maybe so (I hope so too).

I also asked him why the Japanese government doesn’t get help to deal with Fukushima from other countries like the US. After all, the US militarily occupies Japan! He replied with a laugh that Tepco and the J Gov are probably too “ashamed” to ask for help.

Ashamed? So we have to sacrifice the world’s ecosystems in order to restore Japanese Pride? Yoichi Shimatsu, a man of sharp wit and former editor of the Japan Times Weekly, sardonically informed me about the absurdity of the Fukushima Folly:

The Japanese have a penchant for misinterpreting, falsifying and mythologizing history, while confusing all that is good for bad and vice versa.

Within a decade, you will be seeing NHK TV dramas about the ‘stoic patriotic Tepco executives, under the strategic leadership of Heroic Leader Shimizu, who defied the panicked liberal government, bravely fought the mob violence by the anti-nuclear traitors, rescued Japan’s nuclear industry and finally, after heroic self-sacrifice, created the Japanese A-bomb just in time to avert a foreign invasion from Red China and United Korea.’

We are so grateful to TEPCO!

In Japan, shrines are erected for mass murderers while the humanitarian heroes who saved the country from itself are relegated to the footnotes or treated as ill-mannered scoundrels. Evil has a special warm place in the Japanese heart.”

Kevin Kamps, Beyond Nuclear, joins Thom Hartmann. You would think Japan would do everything it could to avoid another nuclear disaster –

but you’d be wrong. What’s the latest news coming out of Japan right now – and has America learned anything from the Fukushima devastation?

The ridiculous mascot Japan is using to warn children not to walk in radioactive puddles, etc, is named Kibitan. Absolutely ridiculous! Meaning: causing or worthy of ridicule or derision; absurd; preposterous; laughable: a ridiculous plan.
New camera shows radiation levels Japan’s space agency and a leading machinery maker have developed a camera for use at the crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant.
The device is designed to help in cleaning up leaked radioactive materials.
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and Mitsubishi Heavy Industry unveiled a prototype of the camera on Thursday.
The device has a sensor for high radiation.
The camera shows levels of radioactivity on a monitor in red, yellow or green for different levels of contamination.

The developers say it will help protect people working on decontamination and check the effectiveness of their work.
The device can capture views of 180 degrees
— much wider than those of other cameras. The makers plan to market the product by next March. TEPCO Fukushina Nuclear Mafia Stranglehold update 12/27/12

Published on Dec 27, 2012 MsMilkytheclown1 Another Whopper of an update:
TEPCO needs MORE PUBLIC FUNDS to pay back in compensation to the victims of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster. Translation, the Government is Raising the Consumption TAX to citizens.

The Government then “Gives” TEPCO the money from Taxes.
TEPCO “COMPENSATES” victims with the money the victims were forced to pay to the government – so they could be “compensated” by TEPCO.
It’s a “You Pay to Die” kind of program they are running.

Oh, here’s an “interesting” story: New nuclear evacuation standard to be delayed. Apparently the Nuclear Mafia has a stranglehold on policy decisions.

New nuclear evacuation standard to be delayed. AGAIN: TEPCO ADMITS to LIES to public about radiation “actual readings” and NOW, the New Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) says it will USE ACTUAL radiation readings (as opposed to LIES) for it’s Forecast on Evacuation in the NEXT NUCLEAR Crisis… OMG, you cannot make this shit up.

US sailors sue TEPCO over radiation from Fukushima. IMHO, it should be an open and Closed Case!

‘Tsunami bomb’ tested off New Zealand coast

The United States and New Zealand conducted secret tests of a “tsunami bomb”

designed to destroy coastal cities by using underwater blasts to trigger massive

tidal waves.

Photo: ALAMY

2:50PM GMT 01 Jan 2013

The tests were carried out in waters around New Caledonia and Auckland during the Second World War and showed that the weapon was feasible and a series of 10 large offshore blasts could potentially create a 33-foot tsunami capable of inundating a small city.
The top secret operation, code-named “Project Seal”, tested the doomsday device as a possible rival to the nuclear bomb. About 3,700 bombs were exploded during the tests, first in New Caledonia and later at Whangaparaoa Peninsula, near Auckland.
The plans came to light during research by a New Zealand author and film-maker, Ray Waru, who examined military files buried in the national archives.
“Presumably if the atomic bomb had not worked as well as it did, we might have been tsunami-ing people,” said Mr Waru.
“It was absolutely astonishing. First that anyone would come up with the idea of developing a weapon of mass destruction based on a tsunami … and also that New Zealand seems to have successfully developed it to the degree that it might have worked.”

The project was launched in June 1944 after a US naval officer, E A Gibson, noticed that blasting operations to clear coral reefs around Pacific islands sometimes produced a large wave, raising the possibility of creating a “tsunami bomb”.

Report: U.S., New Zealand tested ‘tsunami bomb’ in WWII

Doug Stanglin, USA TODAY2:13p.m. EST January 2, 2013

Tests for ‘Project Seal’ were positive, but experts concluded that it would take about a millionpounds of explosives to produce an effective tsunami wave.

During World War II, the United States and New Zealand tested a “tsunami bomb” that could potentially create a 33-foot wave capable of inundating a small city, The Telegraph reports. The British newspaper says the tests involved a series of 10 large offshore blasts.

The top-secret operation, called Project Seal, involved around 3,700 bombs that were detonated first in New Caledonia and later at Whangaparaoa Peninsula, near Auckland.

The Telegraph says details of the project were discovered in military files in the national archives by Ray Waru, a New Zealand author and filmmaker.

He found that the project was begun in June 1944 after a U.S.naval officer noted the power of large waves created by explosions used to clear coral reefs around Pacific islands. Waru, who writes about the project in his new book Secrets and Treasures, says the tests were positive, but the project was shelved in early 1945, although New Zealand continued to produce reports on the experiments into the 1950s.

The Telegraph says experts concluded that a successful tsunami bomb would require about a million pounds of explosives arrayed in a line about five miles from shore.

Fukushima operator pleads for international help as radiation crisis deepens

TEPCO, operator of the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant, admits it needs overseas help to contain the radioactive fallout, after 18 months of trying to control it internally.

It comes after the latest leak at the facility was deemed a “serious incident.”
“Many other countries outside of Japan have experienced decommissioning reactors, so we hope we can consult them more and utilize their experience,” TEPCO’s vice president, Zengo Aizawa, said at a news conference on Wednesday night.

“In that sense, we need support, not only from the Japanese government but from the international community to do this job.” The call comes after one of the 1,060 temporary tanks used to store highly contaminated water sprang a leak on Wednesday, discharging as much as 300 tons of radioactive liquid containing large amounts of cesium.

Further tests revealed excessive radiation levels elsewhere in the facility. Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) rated the incident 3 on the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale, which spans from 1 to 7.

“The current situation is at the point where more surveillance won’t be enough to keep the accidents from happening,” declared Shunichi Tanaka, chairman of the NRA. The UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has said that it is “taking this matter seriously and remains ready to provide assistance on request.”

In the past, Japan has been averse to letting foreign entities help with eradicating the nuclear fallout from the Tohoku Disaster of March 2011. The vast majority of clear-up tenders were won by local companies, and outside experts have observed from afar.

The leak is the latest – and most serious – in a string of accidents that have kept the station in the headlines throughout the summer.

TEPCO admitted that groundwater that floods the damaged basements of the destroyed reactors is becoming contaminated and flowing out into the ocean.

Three-hundred tons of the radioactive liquid reached the open water each day, even as TEPCO continued to deny the existence of the problem.

The financially-troubled company is attempting to construct a chemical and steel double barrier to stop this outflow, but the obstacle is not impermeable and  only covers a limited area – requiring water to be pumped away to stop it from building up and bursting through.

Its tanks, which are used to keep the coolant that prevents the damaged reactors from overheating dangerously, are considered to be unsuitable because they were made for other industrial purposes.

They were adapted following the emergency, but they are nearly full. TEPCO estimates that it has already reached 85 percent capacity, although plans to create a more permanent facility have so far not materialized.

The latest leak was the fifth time that toxic water escaped from a basin. TEPCO has been slow in measuring the levels of radioactive elements that have flowed out of the station, as well as publishing its data.

The company finally revealed this month that highly unsafe tritium and cesium levels had been detected in the seawater near the plant. A concentration of these elements could damage the marine environment and build up in marine life, possibly endangering humans further up the food chain.

The contaminated water remains a problem that could lead to a crisis,” Aizawa conceded during the press call. “Unfortunately, TEPCO waited until a severe emergency arose to finally report how bad things really are. Historically, everything TEPCO says always turns out to be much worse than they initially admit,” nuclear accident researcher Christina Consolo told RT.

Most experts say that it could take between four decades and a century to eliminate the impact of the Fukushima disaster.

Worried about chemical weapons in Syria? This is such a story so grisly that know one wants to talk about it. Lets put our heads in the sand maybe the problem will fix itself magically. This is a really bad thing, everything else in the world needs to be put on hold. We can get back to the ordinary killing and maiming after we solve this problem which isn’t going to happen. Do you like sushi? Not anymore you don’t. Shows over folks, pack it in

this is a time of great recollection, organization and control. The two countries which have won the great war have the necessary capacity to rise again fron disaster and provide hope and life for the planet. Let us put aside our differences and work for such a noble purpose

Alex Ikonomidis

I would urge all american fellows and friends and also the russian academy of science as well as the repsective atomic energy committees of usa and russia not to waiste time. Billions of people are at risk. My dear friends we do have the knowledge to provide appropriate assistance.
The conventional japanese wisdom will cause millions of deaths. I particularly address this call to the experts around the exceptional academician Vladimir Babevsky, the fellows of Princeton University, Stanford University , UCLA and My friend professor V. Manousiouthakis, professor John Kevrekidis at Princeton U to deal with situation now

Alex Ikonomidis

I will urge my collegues and friends in USA to understand that situation in Fukushima is out of control and Japanese do not have the necessary background in filtering to deal with. USA as well as Russia should intervene to stop the greatest planetary disaster in human history.
I find great satisfaction in the privallage to see races getting Geographically displaced. For the sheep to wake up, many must see beyond the smoke screen to see who benefits from this chaos. Al Gore must be the happiest guy on the planet. Although we are not talking climate change rubbish, we a simply realizing there is a population matter. Japan, how does it feel to be popped off the planet. Realisti cally, how’s you’re ego in a sense to homelessness. We should soon see a new wave of boat people arriving for the shore’s of anerica.

I will offer solve this problem if every Nuclear plant in the Japan is closed down permanently and they impose trade sanctions on any Country which uses Nuclear Power until they have all plants shut down. Humans are simply not capable of controlling this technology yet, so it is best if we do without.

Who drop the bombs in Japan neither was the Russian or the Americans, the truth is whales drop the bomb if you does not trust me look South Park.

RT, I know your stance on reporting is from a controversial angle, however, Christina Consolo is a hippy-activist that believes Marijuana use protects against the affects of radiation. Any credible source with experience in Nuclear Power writes off your articles when they realize the quality of references you use as so called “professionals& quot;.
There are unfortunate things occurring in Japan, but a level 3 incident is not something that should cause panic, uprise, or distrust in the safety systems or design of Nuclear Power. It is still the safest, “greenest” , and most efficient method of power generation to date.

Okasa Misa

exactly what’s I say….if the world not going to help Japan fix that problems and then whole world go together one by one, or first and later….contaminati on sea water to whole world,…..but I do not think can be fix because it leaked every where….so, waiting time to go Doomsday on the way……This world it going too Bad….. don’t be so panic..it coming on the way…very soon…..

Serge are you insane? Japan has access to the same internet as almost everyone else. Who in their right mind would believe Russia dropped nukes on anyone?

….”could lead to a crisis, Aizawa said…”; could be that if it rains it pours, too. Anyone even going to Japan now must be out of their mind(s). time to go, boys and girls. bad news: only place left to go is oblivion, good news: no need to pack anything.

MONUMENTAL Troubles at Fukushima. From BAD to WORSE update 8/31/13

Fukushima in freefall: radioactive water filters taken offline, Tepco in desperation as leaksjust won’t stop

After a 29-month cover-up, the Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco) is now calling for international help and has all but admitted Fukushima’s

radiation leaks are spiraling out of control. In addition to the leaking water storage units that are unleashing hundreds of tons of radioactive water

each day,

Tepco now says 50% of its contaminated water filtration capability has been taken offline due to corrosion.

The result is that radiation leaks are escalating out of control and attempted remediation efforts are faltering.

This is in addition to the fact the Japanese government’s attempted brainwashing propaganda campaign has also been exposed.

It attempted to convince people that if they drank beer or smiled, they would be immune to radiation poisoning.

(Yes, this is how desperate they’ve become…) From day one, the Fukushima fiasco has been all about denial:

Deny the leaks, shut off the radiation sensors, black out the news and fudge the science.

Yet more than two years later, the denials are colliding with the laws of physics, and Tepco’s cover stories are increasingly being blown wide open.

As Businessweek.com now reports, Japan seems to have no practical interest in solving this problem:

Russia’s nuclear company, Rosatom, of which Rosenergoatom is a unit, sent Japan a 5 kilogram (11 pound) sample of an absorbent that could be

used at Fukushima almost three years ago, Asmolov said. It also formed working groups ready to help Japan on health effect assessment,

decontamination, and fuel management, among others,

Asmolov said. The assistance was never used, he said.

That’s because for Tepco to welcome any assistance, it would first have to admit it has a problem. A

nd that’s unacceptable in a business culture where egos run rampant and the idea of taking responsibility for your actions is considered abhorrent.

To save their own careers, Tepco experts would gladly sacrifice the health of millions of Japanese citizens. 27 families file suit against TEPCO

The problem with denial in the face of a world-class radiation disaster is that sooner or later the body bags start to pile up.

Now, 74 people from 27 families are filing suit in the Osaka District Court, seeking 15 million Yen each for psychological and physical damage.

(And they are the lucky ones who are still living.) As Japan Times reports:

The group will argue that Tepco should have taken stronger measures to protect the Fukushima

No. 1 nuclear plant from earthquakes and tsunami after the government’s Headquarters for Earthquake Research Promotion warned in 2002

that there was a 20 percent chance of a magnitude 8 or so quake occurring in the Japan Trench in the Pacific Ocean within 30 years.

Fishing ban reinstated Part of the Fukushima denial was the claim that fish were somehow not being irradiated by the numerous leaks of highly

radioactive water. This cover-up was further enforced by lifting a fishing ban that had been announced in the days following the original

Fukushima meltdown event in 2011.

Now that fishing ban has been reinstated. Australian reporter Mark Willacy visited the fishermen to get their reaction to the news,

and what he reported sounds right in line with what we’re seeing, too:

[The fishermen] are very angry. They’ve obviously believed that Tepco has been lying to them for weeks, if not months. You know,

they seem to suggest that that the cover-ups get worse… They believe Tepco’s probably sitting on more secrets that they don’t want anyone

to know about. So there’s a feeling that Tepco just cannot be trusted and that these fisherman probably don’t really feel like they have a future anymore.

Tepco lying? Say it isn’t so! Zeolites to the rescue? In desperation,

Tepco is now trying to figure out how to stop thousands of tons of radioactive water from leaking into groundwater supplies

(and ultimately into the ocean). Those ideas, according to CTV News in Canada, include things like “freezing” the soil around the leak,

creating an underground ice barrier that would require ongoing freezing,

presumably for hundreds of thousands of years.

You’d probably need to build another nuclear power plant to power the freeze cores,

come to think of it. Another idea, put forth by Arnie Gundersen,

arguably the most sane observer in all this, involves digging a 2-meter-wide trench all the way down to bedrock,

then filling the trench with zeolites which scientists now reluctantly admit trap radioactive isotopes.

Note carefully that when people talk about consuming zeolites as a detox liquid, many modern-day doctors call it “quackery.”

But when push comes to shove, even they have to admit zeolites absorb radioactive elements.

(You can’t argue with the laws of physics. Zeolites work!) Tepco answers to no one Tepco “…does not directly answer to any regulatory bodies,

including the country’s nuclear watchdog,” reports CTV.

Sounds a lot like Big Pharma and the FDA, doesn’t it? Industry is running the regulators. Gunderson goes on to explain in that same CTV article:

The Japanese government under Abe doesn’t want to admit (to the cost) because they are trying to restart a nuclear energy program and the

last thing they need to do is tell the Japanese people that ‘oh by the way, you’re on the hook for another half trillion dollars.’

The article goes on to reveal something rather startling: Some experts believe some of the radioactive material from the damaged core has moved

into the earth. The recent spike in radiation levels in the water may therefore be coming from groundwater coming into contact with the melted cores.

Whack-a-Mole! Finally acknowledging over two years of utter bureaucratic failure and delusional propaganda, the Japanese government is now taking

over the Fukushima cleanup effort. Today, Trade Minister Toshimitsu Motegi told the international press,

“We’ve allowed Tokyo Electric to deal with the contaminated water situation on its own and they’ve essentially turned it into a game of ‘Whack-a-Mole,'”

reports Business Week What’s wrong with Whack-a-Mole? It’s the wrong game, of course,

Tepco would prefer we all played Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) instead so that everyone hops around like maniacs to avoid all the radiation.

Or better yet, how about the game of Hide-and-Seek? Where did all the radiation go? It’s hiding! Oh, that’s so much better, thank you!

“From now on, the government will move to the forefront,”

uttered Motegi, not realizing he was paraphrasing the anti-government derogatory phrase used in the USA:

“We’re from the government, and we’re here to help.”

Because when industry reaches a point of total bureaucratic failure resulting in a global disaster that threatens all life on the planet, everybody knows

the obvious solution is to put the government in charge!

The government, you see, can simply pass a new law that says radiation is no longer considered dangerous.

In an instant, the entire problem is solved and Japan saves hundreds of billions of dollars in cleanup costs.

After all, if Obama can declare America’s jobs disaster to be a “success,” and if doctors can declare methyl mercury injected into children a ”

vaccine treatment,” then why not allow the Japanese government to declare Fukushima solved? Better yet, Japan should

turn Fukushima into a cancer radiotherapy clinic where Americans can receive “radiation treatments” for cancer, because we all know

that radiation prevents cancer, right? That’s what the cancer clinics tell us, anyway.

Fukushima can become the world’s newest medical tourism hot spot for cancer patients.

Walk in with cancer and you’ll walk out with so many other symptoms that you won’t even notice the cancer anymore!

That’s the miracle of modern medical science. Sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline, of course.

“We have to stop calling these events nuclear disasters,” I’d imagine a Japanese government official uttering any day now.

“They are actually nuclear opportunities for job creation,” he’ll probably explain. Sources for this article include:
